Starbucks Addiction Pays Off on Foursquare

Starbucks-Addiction-Pa...

Coffee giant Starbucks has joined forces with mobile social networking site Foursquare to offer its customers rewards and gain feedback about its service. According to The New York Times, Foursquare users who frequent enough Starbucks coffee shops will gain a 'Barista' badge on the social-networking site. Thankfully, this doesn't mean you'll have to become an actual coffee slave. Instead, the badge, which you earn after visiting five different Starbucks and sharing the locations via Foursquare, earns you unspecified rewards. We'd assume a free latte or pastry, but knowing Starbucks, we'll be lucky to get a cup of tap water.

"It's where the intersection between digital and physical starts to get interesting," Starbucks vice president of brand, content and online Chris Bruzzo told the Times. He also said that the company would use feedback from Foursquare to evaluate what services and products customers like and dislike. However, we doubt any amount of lobbying on Foursquare will curb the high price of a Grande Iced Cafe Mocha or those delicious red-velvet cupcakes. Review: Nooka Asset Organizer

Review-Nooka-Asset-Org...

Welcome to future world, first stop: wallets. Nooka makes some of our favorite watches an now they’re making what amounts to a wallet for space explorers. Made of soft silicone, it is wear and water resistant and infinitely expandable. It comes in five colors and costs $35.

margin-top: 10px;
text-align: center;
width: 33%; }

Before you say $35 is too much to pay for a wallet, let me tell you who this is for. If you’re trying to reduce your wallet load – maybe down to a credit card, a drivers license, some business cards and some cash – this will do the trick. It’s not for the old-fashioned. The pockets let you organize things quite quickly and easily and unless you have a big wad of cash (who does in these trying times) you’re not going to miss the room for all your bills.
That said, I enjoyed using it over the past few weeks. I kept my business cards and Metro card in it and it rode shotgun with my wallet. The silicone was a little too slippery sometimes – it would pop out of my pocket – but on the whole it’s a cool design and a cool idea.
Is it for you? If you like bright colors and need a new wallet, consider it. If you’re more a meat sandwich in the woods on a brisk morning kind of guy, maybe give it a pass.

Arguably The Best Site On The Internet

Arguably-The-Best-Site...

Aside from Geekologie and The International Jurassic Park Erotic Fan-Fiction Writer's Association, Lazertits might very well be the best site to ever hit the web -- and my retinas. HAPPY EYES!

For centuries the female bosom has been wrongfully held in the prison of maternal duty and frat boy motor-boating. The time has come to blow the cell doors open for breasts! Howl for hooters! Terrorize for tits! Bomb for boobs! LAZERTITS looks into the past and changes the future one broad at a time. What will YOU say when your kids ask where you were during the revolution? Don't burn your bra, BLAST IT!!!

The site consists entirely of women, with, you guessed it, PEW BOOBS. Unfortunately, because of all the awesomeness the site is probably regarded as NSFW. Actually, it definitely is -- I just spotted a woman with a nonfunctional laser vaj on page two. MEDIC!

NSFW NSFW Lazertits NSFW NSFW

Thanks to Lea C, who is a woman and thus makes my posting this entirely okay. Some would argue even noble.

Wacom Cintiq 21UX hands-on

Wacom-Cintiq-21UX-hand...

It almost too much to take in all at once. Sure, the $1,999 Cintiq 21UX pen display is priced out of reach for most of us mere mortals who "don't draw good," but the pure lustworthiness of this unit sure makes us try to forget that inconvenient fact. The expanded movability of Wacom's latest is commendable, the pen input is naturally great, the screen is beautiful, and even those new rear-mounted touchpads seem helpful. It would take someone much more familiar with professional draw-ist-ing to really speak to the more specific merits of the 21UX, but from a mere standpoint of inspiring irrational desire in our hearts, Wacom seems to have done a pretty good job this time out. Check out a video of the screen in action after the break. Nokia vs. Apple court date set for mid-2012

Nokia-vs-Apple-court-d...

For those that are not up to speed, here is the Reader’s Digest® version of the Apple and Nokia legal saga. Nokia sued Apple, Apple sued Nokia, the ITC got involved, and here we are. A U.S. court date to settle the alleged patent violations has tentatively been scheduled for some time in the middle of 2012. Legal analysts have said the proceedings could last for two or more years which, barring a settlement, would delay the verdict to sometime in 2014. For those cheer-leading the demise of one of the involved parties, you’ll just have to wait until then.
