Congratulations-Britne...

The horn line on "Darkest Light," the 1975 jam from French funk act Lafayette Afro Rock Band - you'd know it if you heard it - is one of those timeless hip-hop samples, and appears as the centerpiece of Jay-Z's "Show Me What You Got," Public Enemy's "Show 'Em Whatcha Got," and Wreckx-N-Effect's "Rump Shaker" . Celeb Tweetup: Shut Up, Kanye

Celeb-Tweetup-Shut-Up-...

As you likely know, KANYE WEST JOINED TWITTER. And we haven’t heard the end of it.
As evidenced here, Kanye West (@KanyeWest) is helplessly begging for attention using this new medium:

Forget Kanye, other people were around too! Frankie Muniz (@frankiemuniz) shared some random thoughts about tarantulas.

And then there was Dax Shephard (@daxshephard1), who shared some other odd thoughts.

And lest we forget Courtney Love’s (@CourtneyLoveUK) passion for striped summer fabrics.

Do you think Milla Jovovich (@MillaJovovich) bumped into Lindsay Lohan?

'90210' Gay Bombshell: Matt Lanter On Who's Coming Out Of The Closet

90210-Gay-Bombshell-Ma...

90210 hottie Matt Lanter opens to Crushable’s Delaina Dixon on the CW show’s upcoming gay bombshell, what’s next in store for his character, and why Zac Efron would play him in a biopic of his life:
Q: Do you know who’s coming out?
A: Yeah, I know.
Q: Are you comfortable with who’s coming out?
I can’t tell you guys anything. I’m being very tight lipped. This is one of the things, they don’t do this often, but they actually sent out a statement saying “Hey guys, don’t talk about it.” Yeah, so I can’t tell you much. But you know what? Whoever it’s going to be, he’s going to have a monumental task on hand. It’s a subject that’s very real and prevalent in high schools now than it was 10 years ago. From what I understand, they are going to be doing it in a very serious way. It’s not going to be one episode off one on kind of thing. It’s going to be a season-long kind of thing. It’s going to add a new element to the show.
Q: They’ve been giving you some pretty challenging storylines.
A: It’s been great. I hope I get to see more. Last year, we got to see Liam’s dad. There was a run-in with his stepfather. More of that. Keep it coming. I think the fans want to know about Liam. They want to know what he’s about. We got a little of it last year.
Q: Is there a danger of a character we’ve been introduced to as straight coming out after Adrianna’s storyline?
A: Well, I don’t know. See is the difference. That was kind of done a couple of episodes, kind of dabbled in. But this one, they’re going for it all the way. It’s done. I guess that’s what I mean by taking it serious. This character is going to struggle, this character is going to find himself, and a lot of that is going to be shown. Where last year with the Adrianna thing, oh, OK, this is what we’re doing for a couple of episodes, and then we’re done. So I think this going to be done very differently.
Q: Are you still a technical geek?
A: Yeah of course. I just had a 30-minute conversation with someone about TVs and Blue-rays. The I-pad. I’m into the iPad right now. It had been out for a month or so before I placed the order for it. I kept going back and forth because it doesn’t have the camera on it and I know the next one is going to have the camera. But I couldn’t wait. We got our cell phones with cameras and we got cameras. But it’s great. I’m surfing the Internet, I read my books on it. I’m reading a book called Phantom by Michael Crichton. I’m a big Michael Crichton fan. He kind of works a lot of scientific elements into his books and I like that. I like sci-fi and science. I would love to play an intelligent, scientific story.
Q: Other projects?
A: I did this movie that’s a spoof on Twilight and I get to play this blood-sucking vampire. I do a Star Wars voice-over, and I get to play a Jedi knight. That’s the best part of being an actor.
Q: What’s up for Liam this season?

A: He’s been with Annie a little bit. There’s a little bit more of a romantic relationship with Annie. It started to blossom a little at the end of last season. Now we share a kiss this season and it goes a little farther. And yeah. I got a half brother coming in. Last year, we had Liam teasing her a little bit. Then last year, we saw them as friends, having an emotional connection. Different from Naomi, which was just physical. We’ll see if it stays. We know on 90210, it’s breakups and heartaches.
Q: Who would play you biopic?
A: Zac Efron. He’s a good leading man, he’s out there. It’s all about the hair. I’ve met him and he’s a real cool guy, so maybe him.

In Your Dreams: 5 'Inception' Mashups with the Movies It Stole From

In-Your-Dreams-5-Incep...

In Inception, Dom Cobbs is a master thief at stealing ideas from your dreams. Which is ironic, because Inception itself rips off some of the biggest movies of the decade. Here now are 5 “movie mashups” which highlight the similarities between Christopher Nolan’s film and its predecessors.
1. Matrix Meets Inception

2. Eternal Inception of the Spotless Mind

3. Lost Inception

4. Duly Appointed Federal Inception

Between The Lines: Why 'Bachelorette' Ali Is Tabloid Teflon

Between-The-Lines-Why-...

Week after week, as long as The Bachelorette has been on, Ali Fedotowsky has been a tabloid target. But in a good way. The celebrity weeklies love her because she sells issues: Give the people what they want! The people want Ali, like they want Snooki or another reality TV-sensation-of-this-given-moment. Until Ali’s 15 minutes are up, and The Bachelorette is dunzo, then obsessives of the romance franchise (including yours truly) will continue to devour each and every cracky morsel of Ali-ness available on our Google readers and magazine covers. Because the men on the show are so awful, Ali transformed from a Vienna hater into  a pretty pretty popular princess and thus a projection of our own dating struggles. Ali is the people’s princess. Which is why tabloid magazine editors are wary of publishing anything anti-Ali. Why risk their audience – or an exclusive interview with Ali?
They wouldn’t. They can’t risk pissing off Ali – and ABC – and losing a potentially lucrative Ali cover to a competitor. Which is why magazines including Us Weekly passed on paying for a diary currently being shopped around by a blast from Ali’s past. It’s Ali’s diary, it contains damaging details, and the peddler was asking up to $30,000, Crushable has learned.
Currently, Ali graces the latest cover of Us, alongside the headline “Secrets Of The Proposal.” She’s wearing a wedding dress with rose in hand, and inside, there’s a photo spread and article with photos of Ali’s final day in Bora Bora. Without naming Ali’s “future husband” – Roberto Martinez obviously, since Chris Lambton is a shoo-in to be the next Bachelor – a show “source” discusses details of the engagement, to be shown on Monday’s finale.
Meanwhile, she’s on the cover of People magazine with an exclusive interview, saying, “I was trying to be smart and fall in love with my heart — but use my head too.  Sometimes the right thing is the hardest thing to do, and it’s definitely hard to hurt somebody. No matter what happens in the end, I hurt somebody.”
And she’s also on Star’s cover, next to the coverline, “Ali’s Hot Night With Football Hunk,” meaning Matt Leinart. Inside his a positive article on how cute Ali is (true) and how down to earth she is (again: true) and how she and Matt would make a cute couple (triple true).
Now, riddle us this: Why would Star publish photos Angelina Jolie’s ‘99 heroin bender, and not Ali’s salacious diary?
In short: To give us what we want.

Poll: Does Zac Need Permission From Vanessa To Hit A Strip Club?

Poll-Does-Zac-Need-Per...

Zac Efron went to a strip club on Sunday night with Corbin Bleu and blew some $2,000 on vodka and lap dances. The dreamboat heir to Rob Lowe has responded to the reports, telling Jimmy Kimmel that girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens gave him permission to hit up said strip club.
“That’s the awkward part,” Zac said on Jimmy’s talk show. “It’s like how do you even start that conversation without feeling like a total [expletive]?” he told Kimmel. [But] she was fine with it, yeah.”
Uh, would YOU be fine with it? And since Zac is a grown man, does he need Vanessa’s permission anyway?
Tell us what you think!

Getting A Job And Dating Aren't So Different

Getting-A-Job-And-Dati...

Finding a great job and finding a great relationship are arguably two of life’s toughest, but ultimately most rewarding endeavors. In both arenas, you’ll come across all types: from the inconsistent floaters to the people who’ve been happily (or unhappily) stuck to the same thing since they graduated from college.
Finding a job and finding a significant other can be daunting, but maybe you think you’re better at one than the other. Maybe it’s time to consider the skill sets you’re using to excel at work might apply to dating, and vice versa.
The Business Insider (where, as you can guess, the specialty is work) has some tips on how dating and your career can cross over. Some of our favorite tips:

Know the difference between persistence and annoyance.

Everybody wants what they can’t have, so make yourself desirable.

Make them feel special.

Do you agree? How does this all work when it applies workplace romance?

Crushable Quote of the Day: Tom Hardy's Done It With Dudes, No Biggie

Crushable-Quote-of-the...

If you were wondering who that hottie was in Inception that wasn’t Joseph Gordon-Levitt, let us introduce you to Tom Hardy. Tom played the dream “forger” Eames, who was able to take on the persona of anyone who the dreamer ever met, in their dreams. Yikes, too complicated, already! But one thing Tom wants to make crystal clear: He’s totally straight (engaged to Charlotte Riley and with a 2-year-old from a previous marriage). But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t experimented with dudes, as he told British tabloid Now.
As a boy? Of course I have…I’m an actor, for f***’s sake. I’m an artist. I’ve played with everything and everyone. But I’m not into men sexually. I love the form and the physicality but the gay sex bit does nothing for me, in the same way as a wet vagina would turn someone else into a lemon-sucking freak.
Way to make our lady bits sound, uh, enticing, Tom.

The Daily WTF: Lucy McRae is the Female Magneto

The-Daily-WTF-Lucy-McR...

Usually when we think of people putting safety pins near their body, we get squeamish and delete that BME Zine site off of our bookmarks. But artist Lucy McRae doesn’t actually stick herself with these shiny gold and silver needles, she uses glue. So the total effect is “WTF!” followed quickly by “Oh, that’s kind of pretty.” See more pics here.
